Partnership expands access to men’s health treatment

Androlabs has appointed EffRx Pharmaceuticals as its commercial partner in Switzerland for Testavan, a testosterone replacement therapy indicated for hypogonadism in adult men. The company said Testavan is already available in the country and the agreement will support continued access for patients and prescribers.

Under the partnership, EffRx will lead commercialisation and distribution activities, strengthening engagement with healthcare professionals and eligible patients. Androlabs said the deal represents an important milestone in its European growth strategy and reinforces its ambition to expand access to men’s health treatments across the region.

Testosterone deficiency remains underdiagnosed globally. Symptoms are often attributed to ageing or other health conditions, which can delay appropriate assessment and treatment. As Switzerland’s population continues to age, Androlabs noted that the prevalence of age‑related conditions affecting men is expected to rise, increasing the importance of timely diagnosis and access to treatment.

Nicolas Vennin, co‑founder of Androlabs, said: “We look forward to working with EffRx to expand access to Testavan in Switzerland and offer greater choice to patients and healthcare professionals.”

He added: “This partnership represents an important step forward in our shared commitment to advancing men’s health in the country.”

Victor Papavasileiou, EVP Corporate Development at EffRx Pharmaceuticals, explained: “We are pleased to partner with Androlabs to commercialise and distribute Testavan in Switzerland. Testavan is an important addition to our portfolio, and this agreement demonstrates our commitment to bringing patient-focused treatments to the Swiss market.”

The companies said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to increasing awareness, improving diagnosis rates and expanding access to evidence‑based treatments for men across Switzerland.

Androlabs added that addressing the persistent disparity in life expectancy between men and women remains central to its mission, noting that men’s health has historically received less dedicated focus than other therapeutic fields.
