Account Manager - Ophthalmology/Theatre - London & South East

Our client boasts the broadest portfolio of eye care products in the three key ophthalmic categories: Surgical, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Eye Care products. They have a dominant position in the ophthalmic surgical marketplace being the market leader in both cataract and vitreoretinal surgery. The ophthalmic pharmaceutical portfolio is comprehensive and covers many therapeutic sectors, several of which arethe market leader. The portfolio of consumer products covers dry-eye, ocular vitamins and solutions for contact lenses. They have a new business Unit within the global pharmaceutical arena and are about to launch a unique product into the Ophthalmology arena which will undoubtedly change patients lives and offer a huge advantage to clinicians within the private sector and the NHS.

We seek to recruit a Key Account Manager for the North East area who has proven secondary care sales success and strong Key Account Management skills within either ethical pharma / healthcare / devices. Candidates who have the passion and enthusiasm and who wish to work autonomously within this new team will be highly rewarded.

This role offers an excellent basic salary, generous OTE and gives the successful candidate the opportunity to sell a unique product.

The successful candidate must have Substantial Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices Sales Experience including dedicated experience selling in secondary care. Ideally Ophthalmology specialist, Optometry, Optician or Diabetes background would be distinct advantage but not essential. Self-motivated and driven, ABPI/ABHI and a UK driving licence are essential for this role.
