Partnerships in Health networking and awards

PharmaTimes has organised a special Partnerships in Health Day on 12 July 2013, at the Westminster Park Plaza, London.

The meeting is intended to be a full-day networking opportunity that will bring together industry stakeholders with CCGs and NHS providers. The NHS organisations have identified projects from local areas of patient priority where they believe partners may be able to support design, management, resourcing, implementation or measurement of the initiative.

Organisations such as NHS South Sefton CCG & NHS Southport & Formby CCG; Strategic Clinical Network East Midlands; Surrey CCG; Brighton and Sussex University Hospital; Kent, Surrey and Sussex AHSN; Keele and Brent Community Provider will be presenting on therapy areas including:

•   Use of Telehealth technologies in Care Homes
•   Dementia
•   Effective discharge strategies
•   Training
•   Asthma care
•   Use of inhalers
•   Effective patient messaging to support adherence in patients with LTC’s
•   Medicines Wastage

Companies will be able to ask questions about initiatives and express their interest to project leads as well as supporting the NHS in planning how to run their initiative successfully and share experience

Later in the afternoon PharmaTimes will host the Partnerships in Health Competition and Awards, which recognise the best existing partnership projects between the pharmaceutical industry and the NHS.
